Awaken an inner template for freedom of expression through movement, song, & community

Who it’s for:

Women feeling the pressure of life and desiring to relieve stress & become more liberated in their body, voice, or both!

All levels of abilities welcome! From beginning singers and dancers to advanced. All can benefit!

What you’ll learn and experience:

🎶 Vocal tools to free your voice so that you can express yourself fully and potently

💃 A greater level of presence and authenticity to take back to your relationships, family, and career

💃 Simple embodiment techniques for greater ease, joy, flexibility, and aliveness

🎶 To feel lighter, connected, and inspired

💃 A balance of provocative work, expertise, & fun!

🎶 An intimate environment, we are capping the group at 12.

The flow of the day:

1pm – 1:45pm Sharing intentions and setting the stage: How our minds & past experiences inhibit us & how working with the voice and body can create massive impact towards freedom & liberation

1:45pm – 2pm Break/transition

2pm – 3pm Embodied Groove® movement experience

3pm – 3:15pm Break/transition

3:15pm – 4:15pm Free Your Voice warmups and practice

4:15pm – 5pm Closing circle and takeaways

Maggie Forti is a performer, singer-songwriter, recording artist, studio session vocalist, sound healer, teacher & consultant. She teaches privately and publicly both virtually and in person across the country. She’s consulted for Berkeley, CA. Repertory Theatre, has been a panelist for Stage Fright Sessions, and is a voice instructor at Berkeley’s School of Rock. She’s created a mind, body, spirit integrated teaching modality called “Free Your Voice”© which she’s cultivated through 25 years of practice, with a process that helps transform student’s fears, self-doubt, vocal strain and a multitude of challenges that can inhibit learning. Maggie’s studied privately with vocal coach, opera singer, Pearl Layton, studied Vocal Jazz Improvisation in workshops with Joey Blake (of Bobby McFerron’s Voicestra,) Attended a Hands-on Sound Healing Retreat with Briony Greenhill, and holds a Professional Music B.A. from Berklee College of Music.

Dr. Leah Taylor is an Integrative Mental Health Coach & Consultant who’s helped hundreds of clients naturally heal chronic stress and create new emotional baselines of joy, peace, and ease. Based on 13+ years as a movement instructor with a Master’s in Somatic Psychology and a PhD in Mind-Body Medicine, she has created a signature mind-body-spirit. integrative modality called Embodied Groove® that she teaches to individuals and groups virtually and in-person across the country. She is based in the Bay Area, CA.
