The content Dr. Leah shares is super digestible. Other teachers I have worked with take a concept and overcomplicate it so it’s not relatable to my life. Dr. Leah makes things like how our brain and emotions work easy to understand so it actually helps to create change in my life!

Dan Braun, Director Camp Navarro and Director of Camp Deep End music festival

I have worked with Leah and her initiative, intentions and delivery of programs are all first rate. We have collaborated at Camp Navarro and at Camp Deep End and she always has fresh and new ideas combined with a real understanding of who her audience is and how to get maximum impact. I always look forward to collaborating with Leah!

While we were finishing up dishes in the kitchen with 10 adults and 7 kids around, the turkey not frying on schedule and a bit of madness all around, my friend (who is a SAH homeschool Mom of 3 and is always graceful and on top of things) looked at me and said “Wow, you are so calm and serene through all of this madness!” While I am used to exuding a calm exterior, in that moment I reflected and realized that I actually felt calm and WAS calm, it wasn’t just a front. It felt so good and I was able to keep that with me throughout the day.

From the first interaction that I had with Leah there was an immediate and profound shift in my musical experiences. After thousands of concerts, Leah was able to help me refocus on the joy of the movement and the moment. Leah helped retrain my brain to feel and experience the music by interacting through dancing and movement, instead of cerebrally as I do with everything else. What a blessing this is! What seems like a simple shift has been incredibly profound and something I reflect on and appreciate daily. I would eagerly participate, and encourage others to, in any workshop or experience that Leah Taylor offers.

The Embodied Groove Retreat has sparked amazing shifts in my life. I’ve started doing yoga every morning and setting intentions, practices I’d admired in others but struggled to adopt myself. Now, they’re helping me feel more focused, balanced, and grounded. The energy in my life has been incredible since the retreat. Everything is flowing smoothly, and I feel more present, alive, and intentional. Choosing joy has become a guiding principle for me, whether it’s saying “yes” to whitewater rafting or dancing with my daughter. Even just 10 minutes of daily movement has been transformative!  Dancing, laughing, and connecting with everyone at the retreat was such a highlight. It reminded me of the joy that comes from shared experiences and the power of staying connected to myself and others. If you’re looking for an experience that brings more self-care, connection, and joy into your life, I can’t recommend this retreat enough. It was truly life-changing!

My sleep has vastly improved and I am finding comfort/peace in my relationship with myself. I think I’ve become a better listener which has strengthened my relationships with others as a result of working with Leah. I really enjoyed the nonjudgmental approach and the “listening” that occurred. Leah was very clear with delivery and made sure all information was understood. The “homework” was very helpful in keeping the sessions’ insights fresh and present. Leah’s teaching method was very thoughtful and inclusive.

Embodied Groove was a lot of fun and Leah got everyone dancing together in the room with ease. She created a safe space for people to drop into their bodies and connect with each other too.

A Joyful Experience!!! Even if you are shy or don’t think dancing is your thing…just surrender to it, you won’t regret it. Dr. Taylor provides a safe space to open up your body and allow it to be one with the rhythm. I haven’t felt that centered , energized, and clear in a long time.

It is working!!! Friday was a hell of a day in my world: 4 mucky mucks from a $4B company came to visit my company to explore our processes PLUS I single handedly threw a work/non-profit holiday party for 250 people. And through it all I found small moments to put my feet on the ground and breathe, was able to deal with difficult people and intense moments with ease. When I felt the stress climbing and knew I could lose it and be snappy at any moment, I stepped away and grounded myself.

Stepping out of my comfort zone for the Embodied Groove Retreat was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I discovered the power of connecting with like-minded women and gained a renewed sense of confidence, independence, and clarity. The retreat created space for meaningful relationships, healthy habits, and self-discovery. Having a supportive group, nourishing food, and a home base to recharge made all the difference. Physically, it was the best I’ve ever felt after multiple shows, and mentally, I left feeling inspired to bring more intention and joy into my daily life. If you’re looking for an experience that will energize your body, mind, and spirit, this retreat is it. I’m so grateful I said yes, and I can’t wait to do it again!

Leah’s guidance was non-invasive, gentle, and warm.  It allowed people to experience the movement of their bodies in an environment that lacked judgment, was freeing, and fun!

The biggest gift I received from with with Dr. Leah has been the easy access and ability to tap into the present moment at any time. Whether it’s to help relax and unwind at the end of a busy day or to calm my nerves when dealing with an upsetting or stressful situation, my new mindfulness practice is a magical tool that brings me peace, presence, joy and comfort.

I really enjoyed your class, and I thought you were an excellent teacher. My body and mind felt great! I really needed that release.

I had a call this morning with a client and they asked about the holidays. They loved my attitude and asked my secret. Of course, I shared the program design. While I haven’t been particularly participatory, you’ve had such an impact. Thank you.

I am really enjoying an 11 year old granddaughter (my husband’s) that I could not relate to in previous years. Amazing how I have grown (😉☺️).

The Embodied Groove retreat was pure joy. Meeting like-minded women and creating a sense of magic together was incredible. What stood out most was the pervasive feeling of safety that allowed us to stay calm and connected, even during a power outage, and created space for us to truly enjoy every moment.  I loved the perfect balance of structure and freedom, from setting intentions before shows to basking in post-show bliss together on the porch at night. Leah’s leadership was both knowledgeable and approachable, she felt like one of us while guiding us with grace and ease. I’d absolutely attend again, especially for the sense of connection it provides. As someone who often sees shows alone, this experience reminded me of the magic that happens when we come together as a group.

I write this on the second anniversary of my mother’s passing and two years since the world as we knew it came to a surreal standstill. My grieving remains in process, but I credit Embodied Groove and Dr. Leah Taylor with helping me, quite literally, ‘move through’ this period of trauma and loss. Just days after my mother died, I happened upon an Embodied Groove dance session online. In the safe space of an internet connection and my own living room, I began to reconnect, through music and movement, with vital energy that had waned, with hope that had seemed out of reach. I started to heal, to manifest growth, to find a path forward that included joy. It’s hard to find words for the ‘rescued’ I felt. But it was a rescue, and I am ever grateful to Leah and Embodied Groove for that light shone in the darkness.

Reflecting back on this party from one year ago (minus the software company visit!) I was a bundle of nerves and was not able to slip into the moment be present with those around me. What a difference a year (and a Thrive program) can make! I enjoyed myself, kept cool, kept breathing, made connections and had FUN throughout the day. This wouldn’t have happened without this program. Thank you, Leah, for being our fearless mindfulness leader! I look forward to using my new mindful ninja skills over the next few weeks!

The workshop was fun and most importantly life-changing for me. It was just the exercise that I needed to let my stifled creativity loose and light a path that wasn’t clear to me before that day. When I signed up for the workshop, I felt lost in the midst of a life transition. I knew I needed to find my way and do something but didn’t know what. I had zero clarity, just a hunch. Today, I know exactly what I want to do, and I have faith that the Universe is here to support and provide for me.

The intuitive live improvisational music along with Leah’s gentle movement guidance and sound bath brought a new and different joy, healing and release to my movement practice.

Leah is a true gem. She has such a lovely, positive, kind, empathetic energy. You can tell she truly cares about each person she works with and really wants us to find our true balance and happiness. She doesn’t project what she considers a healthy, balanced life, but helps each individual find what they desire for themselves and helps you achieve that.

I was thinking I should give you feedback after yesterday morning’s dance class!  I was waiting this morning to see how my body, and more importantly my hip was reacting to those movements. I felt really great after the class, but was still anxious about the consequences, and didn’t want to jinx it. But today, I definitely can say that the result of it is amazing. I was worried about pain or being sore…none! And the best is that I woke up, with a loose body instead of being stiff, and feeling confident that, if I am careful (and patient), I can do it and build back to where I was before. Wow… Thank you so so much. I’m so glad I did it. I just wish it would happen every week 😉 oh and the music…. I Looooooved it!

Leah is a very talented leader in the mind-body field. I’ve enjoyed both her movement classes and taken her Heart-Math course, and both have made a lasting impression in my life. She makes movement and embodiment fun, easy to follow—and I always feel grounded, calm and energized after my work with her!

I first decided to participate in Leah’s morning Embodied Groove Session with a bit of trepidation and curiosity. It was morning after a somewhat disrupted night of festival camping sleep and I didn’t particularly feel like dancing or moving much. I told myself ‘I’ll just join for a few minutes and stretch my body a little.’ However, as the session unfolded, through the well-paced music, and through Leah’s invitational guidance I found my body waking up and transitioning from sleepy stretching, to playful rhythmic movement, to eventual full on communal dance party with any remaining hesitations or residual self-consciousness dissolved. The session ended with a restful extended pose where upon its completion myself and seemingly everyone around felt grounded, recharged and more bonded with one another.

I have to say the effect of the embodied groove set was palpable from the moment we got on stage.   It felt like the crowd was fully locked in and engaged with the music.  Sometimes it can take a whole set to feel the link between the crowd and the music as powerfully as it was from the first note and sometimes it never happens at all.  Wow!

Dancing is one of the best ways I know for aligning mind, body and spirit. Embodied Groove takes this concept to the next level by combing structure and focus with flow, movement and deep listening. You’ll find yourself moving and mingling in radical new ways. I want to make it part of my life!

The Embodied Groove was the PERFECT way to start the show! We wish we could open every show the same way!!

My experience with Leah’s Embodied Groove was really positive. It took me from a mundane morning of plotting and planning into a blissful state of “living in the moment”. All through the melding of live music, movement, guided experience, and personal expression. I’m really looking forward to doing this again!

Deep Connection! I saw Leah take a group of strangers and swirl them into a moving, smiling, vibrating mass. I connected with my toes, my legs, my eyeballs, my booty in ways I never had. I want to invite Leah to every party.
